Coaching

 A number of our programmes and courses can provide for 1:1 personal development.  This would be an opportunity to leverage the skills and experience of a Business Mentor or Executive Coach.

Let me ask the question: "What common attribute do you associate with any high performing individual / team?".

Somebody plays the role of Coach or Mentor, sometimes this is within the team but most commonly its the outside perspective that provides the valuable insight that the individual is looking for.  There are many other skills that this person brings to the environment - objectivity, the ability to listen and questions to derive most value.

We provide two services:

Executive Coach - Coaching for Performance

Coaching is unlocking a person's potential to maximise their own performance.  It is helping them to learn rather than teaching to them. Good coaching is about building awareness and responsibility within the individual:

  • I am able to control only that of which I am aware, that of which I am unaware controls me - awareness empowers me
  • If I give you my advice and it fails, you blame me.  I have traded my advice for your responsibility and that is seldom a good deal

Self belief, self motivation, choice, clarity, commitment, awareness, responsibility and action are products of good coaching however, the mind is key.

The Winning Mind - Attitude, Knowledge and Experience

Coaching for awareness and responsibility works in the short term for achieving a task, or in the long term for a better quality of life.

Business Mentoring - Increasing Potential

Mentoring is always one step removed and is concerned with the longer term acquisition of skills in a developing career by a form of advising or counselling. Good mentoring is about the ability to establish a good and professional relationship, be sympathetic, accessible and knowledgeable about the person's area of interest.

Mentoring includes some coaching, facilitation, counselling and networking. It is not to dazzle the individual with knowledge and experience, the mentor just has to provide encouragement by sharing his enthusiasm for his job.
