General Information

The "Bramley Lakes experience..."

Map and Directions

We are located at Bramley Lakes, Dog Lane, Horsford, Norwich, NR10 3DH, shown on this Location Map.  If you are coming from the A11 or A47 you may prefer to take these back road directions (not suitable for coaches) to avoid the ring road and city traffic.

Clothing and Kit Requirements

At each of our purpose built locations some of the programmes may involve a number of different tasks, including height, water, confinement or risk. To ensure that our clients enjoy the experience we provide a list of clothing and kit suggestions - click here for details.

Pre-existing Medical Conditions

For insurance purposes we must register any pre-existing medical conditions; we will contact your course co-ordinator a few weeks before your event with joining instructions (a request that they confirm all attendees have read the information below, and to gather details of any pre-existing medical conditions and dietary requirements).

Challenge by Choice

We operate a CbC policy which is simple in principle, but complex in practice and reality. The simple principle is that you are invited to participate voluntarily in each of the various activities and challenges of a programme. A participant may choose to sit out an activity and this right is to be respected by others in the group and by the instructors.

The CbC principle is generally explained and understood as part of the Full Value Contract (FVC), to help create a group culture which genuinely respects the right of an individual to choose with regard to a degree of participation in any activity. CbC can be used to help reinforce the message that an individual is to exert and take personal responsibility choosing his/her behaviours and actions. Further, the principle recognises that individuals potentially stand to learn and grow more by refusing to participate on occasions than unthinkingly and/or resentfully always participating.
